How do we detox our mind? Think of the mind like a body. In order to detoxify our mind, there are 2 processes, first one is to prevent the negative input just like food, if you want to have a clean body, the first thing to do is to choose a healthier diet. The kind of food that benefits your body, not the kind that is toxic for your body.
The mind is likewise, what we choose to think, what we choose to be in contact with, what we choose to surround our self with, that will become the input. The mind has one nature; whatever the mind focuses on, it magnifies. If you focus on something positive, positive grows bigger. If you focus on love, love grows bigger. If you focus on pain, pain grows bigger. If we practice mindfulness, we can master that skill to harness attention and channel our focus to positivity. In that, case we can choose what is the better input, healthier input, for our mind.

The second part is how to cleanse the existing negative input that we have already consumed in our mind and that can actually be done through the process of meditation. Whenever we are meditating, the process is to bring our mind back to stay still within. When that moment happens, it brings clarity. In that clarity, we are able to view what’s going on in our life. What are the mistakes that we have done, what are things to be grateful for, what are things to be appreciated. After that, we will start to see what is trash, what are healthier nutrients, so we can choose what to keep and what to let go.

When we are starting to accept ourselves, then we can start to keep only positive part of ourselves, that’s how we get a healthier mind. In conclusion , there are two things that we can do to detox our mind, one keep healthy input, organic input for the mind, two keep cleaning your mind regularly with meditation.
