Every time you begin new activities, resetting your mind for just a little bit helps you disconnect from the issues you have beforehand. So you don’t carry the stress you have before into the new things you are about to do. For example, suppose you are going to go home after work, and you give yourself that reset time. In that case, it helps you focus more on the interaction with your family rather than just carrying the stress from work and putting your anger at your family. A short reset can be done simply by closing your eyes, taking a deep breath, feeling surrounded by everything, and listening and hearing everything happening around you until you realize where you are and your presence. Just a short reset and you will become more focused and attentive to things right before you when you open your eyes.
